HER STORY

Nicole Brewer is an Emmy Award-winning broadcast journalist with over 15 years of experience in the media industry.

Nicole joined CBS News Philadelphia in 2008 as local television’s first digital journalist, honing her skills in storytelling, research and content creation, while pioneering the use of digital media tools in the newsroom. She was promoted to general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor for the morning shows and later named solo anchor of Eyewitness News on Saturday and Sunday mornings. In her final years at CBS, Nicole hosted the nightly franchise segment “Good Question,” while also filling in as anchor for the 5, 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts.

Before joining CBS 3, Nicole was a feature reporter and producer at WLVT-PBS 39 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. While there, she helped write, produce and report on “Kids and Gangs: A Tempo Special Report,” which won a Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award.

At CBS, Nicole was also nominated for an Emmy for her feature reporting and recognized by the Associated Press for a piece on social media trends, titled “Parents on Facebook.”

Throughout her tenure, Nicole has demonstrated strong communication, interviewing, writing and editing skills, as well as a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering accurate and engaging news to the public.

A native of Philadelphia, Nicole grew up in the Overbook section of the city. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communication from Millersville University.
